His Story
A shepherd, a teacher, an artist
Pastor Stephen Patrick Achillah was born in Atapar, Kapir, Ngora District. He was educated at Makerere University, Kampala, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and he pursued theological studies at the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology, graduating with a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology.
Together with his wife, Tina, he began in secondary-school ministry before answering a call to pioneer pastoral ministry through a church plant within Deliverance Church Uganda. From 1987 he served as a pastor in several congregations, taught as a Bible School Principal, and sat on the National Leadership Board of Deliverance Church Uganda, where he served as General Secretary.

A Fine Art graduate of Makerere University whose original drawings in colored pencil and graphite carry a quiet, prayerful beauty.

A gifted singer and songwriter who poured his creativity into worship and the life of the Church.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Tina; their children Victor, Ruth, Gloria and Lwazi, Joshua and Jess; and his grandchildren, Noah and Joyanne.
